For Fall 2026, Stacy Stewart Smith designs a fashionably audacious black suede cape with an asymmetrical closure, a high-low, rounded hem, and soft, padded shoulders. The Black Suede Paris Opera Cape is designed to make a bold fashion statement with a suede fringed tassel flowing from a chrome metal topper/clasp closure. The mandarin collar unbuttons from the lining for an optional collarless look. The cape features soft shoulder darts/folds and a trapezoidal silhouette. The Paris Opera Cape is fully lined in a rhombus-geometric acetate jacquard in rose-gray and black, making it the perfect warmer over a slim suit or sweater. From within the cape’s front arm slits, secured with magnets and hooks, allow access to the outside. The wearer can also wrap themselves in the cape by placing their hands into the lining pockets, or elegantly choose to whip the cape open by releasing the grasp of a button-on adjustable strap. With a gentlemanly, masterful, quick pull of metal-weighted self-string ties, the cape is off and handed to an attendant to secure on a hanger or on the chrome chain in back. Preorders: You may order the Paris Opera Cape in a custom size as a preorder. The production time is 30 to 60 days from the receipt and clearance of payment and the finalization of all measurements.

- Locate the Preorder Measurement and Service Fee form in the Fall 2026 Collection, and then add it to your cart.
- Enter FormFree in the discount field, and the form will be free of charge. Only one discount may be used, so if the item is on sale, a $5 service fee will be added to your cart total.
- After payment, you will receive an email with a link to the measurement form. Follow the instructions provided in the form and contact us if you need assistance.
The suede is in stock and available locally, but the lining and hardware are subject to customization, availability, and substitutions. A couture pattern is drafted from your sizes while we wait for any materials. This process is what makes Stacy Menswear Couture special. We will keep you in constant contact with the design studio and alert you at every step via email, including photos and requests.
Only twelve (12) Black Suede Paris Opera Capes are available for Fall 2026 preorders. Due to the unique nature of a custom-made garment, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.
