For Fall 2026, Stacy Stewart Smith presents The Bishop Fur Coat in black Tigrado shearling. Originating from Spain, these hides are prized for their naturally wavy and curly textures, marbled appearance, and irresistibly soft feel.
The Bishop Fur Coat is long, fluid, mysterious, warm, luxurious, and fully lined in satin. The coat features a standing robe collar and a leather button front. The shearling is crafted with hand-stitched stabilization panels and exaggerated shoulder padding, creating a simple but fashionable masculine appearance. The paneled pelts have been reinforced with movable poly cotton backing, and each seam has been stabilized with cotton twill tape. This construction is not visible but helps maintain the fur's intended silhouette by evenly distributing weight. The hem features a stiff curtain that maintains the coat's abbreviated bishop's frock shape and assists the wearer's gait.
The Bishop Fur Coat features two front pockets with self-flaps for storage and hand warming. Inside one is another small pocket, perfect for a small, valuable item. Never mind about wearing a sweater or jacket beneath The Bishop. The fur is virtually blizzard-proof, but do place a hat and gloves along with your cell inside the zip-secured vertical breast lining pockets. Added metal chain pulls let you access the contents of these pockets without searching. An additional large patch pocket has been added to the lining for a small tablet or other items, along with a hanging key-ring on a chain. Whether you are the clergy nearby, an international spy, a jet-setter from Dubai, or just a vamp in Brooklyn, this coat is for the man on the move!

You may order the Bishop Fur Coat in a custom size as a preorder. The production time is 30 to 60 days from the receipt and clearance of payment and the finalization of all measurements.

The lamb fur pelts may be sourced locally, but sourcing them outside the US may add up to 30 days to the construction schedule. A couture pattern is drafted from your sizes while we wait for any materials. This process is what makes Stacy Menswear Couture special. We will keep you in constant contact with the design studio and alert you at every step via email, including photos and requests.
Only six (6) Bishop Fur Coats are available for Fall 2026 preorders. Due to the unique nature of a custom-made garment, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

Care: Use a professional service for fur cleaning and storing the coat in a cool place during warm seasons. The coat comes with a garment bag, extra buttons, and an appropriate wooden hanger.
